Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of Science and Technology (Iptek) in the education process, and to identify its positive impact on the quality of learning. Science and technology (IPTEK) is a combination of studies that study natural phenomena and how to apply science practically. Science involves observation, experimentation, and analysis to understand the world, while technology is the use of science to create tools and processes that can improve the quality of human life. Science and technology (IPTEK) have an important role in creating innovation, driving economic growth, and solving problems in various sectors such as health, communication, and the environment. Both are related to each other, which helps improve development and efficiency in modern society. The purpose of this study was to find new solutions that can improve the quality of life and happiness of society. And Focus on improving the ability of IPTEK to compete globally, especially in the production sector and utilization of natural resources. In this study, the method used is a qualitative research method with a literature study approach. This study involves collecting and analyzing data from various literature sources, including academic journals, books, articles, and relevant research reports on the use of Science and Technology (IPTEK) in education. This approach allows researchers to gain a deep understanding of the impact of science and technology on the teaching and learning process and how technology can be effectively integrated into the educational curriculum. The results of this study indicate a significant impact on the progress and happiness of society. Studies on infrastructure show that science and technology play a significant role in the success of development projects, for example the use of waste as an environmentally friendly building material. In addition, studies also show that the use of science and technology in education can improve student achievement, expand access, and equip them to face future challenges. Therefore, science and technology are very important to drive innovation and economic competitiveness. This article identifies several aspects such as (1) Definition of science and technology (2) Development of science and technology (3) Skills in education (4) Teacher readiness to face educational challenges in the field of science and technology (5) Benefits of science and technology (6) Implementation of science and technology in curriculum development (7) Positive impacts (8) Negative impacts.
