Abstract
The effectiveness of entrepreneurship programs in secondary schools has received considerable attention in previous studies, but research on the gap between the internalization of entrepreneurial character and the development of students’ economic capabilities remains limited. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the entrepreneurship program at SMA Al-Hidayah Tangerang using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, and Product) model as a basis for optimizing program sustainability. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The key informants comprised the principal, the teacher responsible for the program, and student representatives selected purposively. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document review and were subsequently analyzed thematically using the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the context dimension and the internalization of entrepreneurial values had been implemented effectively. However, program effectiveness remained constrained by limited facilities in the input dimension and the periodic implementation of activities in the process dimension, resulting in the uneven development of students’ economic capabilities. These findings contribute to the development of entrepreneurship education based on systemic evaluation and strengthen understanding of the importance of program continuity in secondary schools. This study concludes that improved facilities, enhanced human resource competencies, and program integration into the curriculum are necessary to establish a more adaptive school entrepreneurship ecosystem. Future studies may examine the integration of digital technology into the marketing of students’ products and the program’s long-term economic effects on alumni.
