The Effect of E-Court Application Utilization on Information Service Quality among Users at the Padang Religious Court
Main Article Content
Abstract
The digitalization of judicial services through e-Court is intended to improve accessibility, efficiency, and information service quality. However, technology utilization may not translate into improvements across all service dimensions. This study examined the association between e-Court utilization and information service quality among users of the Padang Religious Court. A quantitative associative design was employed, involving 83 respondents purposively selected from a population of 500 users. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression. The results indicated a positive, statistically significant association between e-Court utilization and information service quality, with a regression coefficient of 0.608, t = 6.768, and p < .001. The model explained 36.1% of the variance in information service quality (R² = .361). These findings provide context-specific evidence linking e-Court utilization to better information service quality, although the associative design does not establish causality. The study highlights the importance of complementing e-Court optimization with improvements in service reliability, information security, and user support to strengthen the quality of electronic judicial services.
