توظيف منصة "واي غراوند" في التقويم الرقمي التفاعلي لتعليم اللغة العربية Leveraging the Wayground Platform for Interactive Digital Assessment in Arabic Learning
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study explores the integration of the Wayground platform as an interactive digital assessment environment in Arabic language education, addressing the constraints of conventional paper-based testing in measuring holistic communicative competence. While digital evaluation has gained momentum, existing scholarship largely focuses on conventional, saturated platforms, creating an empirical gap regarding how emerging interactive tools evaluate cumulative Arabic competencies with automated pedagogical feedback. Utilizing a qualitative library research design, the study examined Wayground’s technical documentation alongside relevant peer-reviewed literature. Data were evaluated through qualitative content analysis-comprising data condensation, data display, and verified conclusion drawing-reinforced by source triangulation to ensure academic trustworthiness. Findings demonstrate that Wayground operates as a comprehensive evaluation tool capable of measuring linguistic components (vocabulary, grammar) and the four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) across a four-stage cycle: planning, execution, data processing, and remedial follow-up. This setup stimulates motivation via gamification, accelerates grading, and delivers immediate explanatory feedback, despite infrastructural and digital literacy challenges. The study concludes that Wayground drives a paradigm shift toward formative "Assessment for Learning" by mitigating cognitive load and test anxiety. Practically, it underscores the need for teacher training in digital test item engineering and blended assessment frameworks.
