Aims and Scope
YASIN: Journal of Education and Socio-Cultural Studies publishes peer-reviewed scholarship that advances theory, evidence, and practice across three complementary domains: education, social sciences, and cultural studies. The journal welcomes methodologically rigorous work—disciplinary or interdisciplinary—with clear scholarly contribution and/or practical relevance for educational and societal improvement.

Publish high-quality research on teaching, learning, curriculum, assessment, educational psychology, educational leadership, and technology-enhanced learning across educational levels and settings.

Disseminate analyses of social issues shaping education and society, including equity, inclusion, governance, community development, social change, well-being, and evidence-informed policy.
Enrich Cultural Studies and Socio-Cultural Inquiry
Encourage scholarship on culture, identity, language, heritage, local wisdom, arts, media and communication, and value formation, including how socio-cultural dynamics shape educational practice.
Promote Interdisciplinarity with Research Integrity
Support interdisciplinary work linking education, social sciences, and cultural studies, while upholding transparent methods, responsible scholarship, and ethical compliance in research involving people, communities, or sensitive contexts.
Scope
YASIN considers original research articles, systematic/scoping reviews, conceptual/theoretical analyses, and critical perspectives across education, social sciences, and cultural studies. Submissions should demonstrate methodological rigor (quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, or interpretive approaches), clear relevance to at least one core stream, ethical compliance (where applicable), and a well-defined contribution to scholarship and/or practice.
1) Teaching, Learning, and Assessment
Pedagogical innovation, instructional strategies, classroom assessment, formative feedback, learning analytics, and approaches that improve learning outcomes across educational levels.
2) Curriculum, Materials, and Educational Technology
Curriculum development and implementation, learning resources, digital pedagogy, AI-supported learning, open educational practices, and technology integration with evidence-based evaluation.
3) Educational Psychology and Learner Development
Motivation, self-regulation, wellbeing, development, learning difficulties, inclusive support, classroom climate, and psychological factors influencing participation and achievement.
4) Educational Leadership, Management, and Governance
Leadership and supervision, teacher professional development, organizational culture, quality assurance, accountability, and governance in schools and other educational institutions.
5) Education Policy, Equity, and Inclusion
Policy analysis, financing, inclusive education, special needs education, gender and equity, social justice, access and participation, and comparative education policy and practice.
6) Sociology of Education and Social Change
Social stratification, family and community influences, youth studies, deviance and wellbeing, education and mobility, social cohesion, and structural determinants of educational opportunity.
7) Community Development and Applied Social Research
Participatory and community-based research, service-learning, social intervention and program evaluation, institutional–community partnerships, and evidence-informed approaches to social development.
8) Culture, Identity, Heritage, and Values
Cultural identity, local wisdom, heritage education, cultural transmission, intercultural relations, arts and cultural practices, religion and values in society, and character/value formation across contexts.
9) Language, Literacy, Media, and Communication
Language education, literacy development, bilingual/multilingual contexts, discourse and communication in educational and social settings, media literacy, and cultural communication in digital environments.
10) Global, Comparative, and Cross-Cultural Perspectives
International and comparative studies, cross-cultural analysis, migration and education, global citizenship, and regional or transnational perspectives that illuminate education–society–culture relationships.
Types of Manuscripts Considered
The journal considers, among others: empirical quantitative studies, qualitative research (including case studies, ethnography, phenomenology, discourse analysis, and interpretive approaches), mixed-methods research, design-based research and development/evaluation studies, policy and program analyses, and systematic or scoping reviews with transparent search, selection, and synthesis procedures. Submissions must present clear research questions or arguments, transparent methods, robust analysis, and ethically responsible conduct (including appropriate consent/permissions where applicable).
YASIN: Journal of Education and Socio-Cultural Studies promotes scholarly dialogue and supports the advancement of knowledge in education, social sciences, and cultural studies through high-quality, ethically grounded, and internationally relevant research.
