Aims and Scope

Asian Journal of Islamic Studies and Da'wah publishes peer-reviewed scholarship that advances Islamic studies and da'wah research in contemporary Asian and global contexts. The journal welcomes rigorous, interdisciplinary work that engages classical and modern Islamic thought, da'wah communication and practice, and religion–society dynamics, with clear theoretical, methodological, and/or applied contributions.

Scope
The journal considers original research articles, systematic reviews, and theoretically informed papers in Islamic studies and da'wah. Submissions should demonstrate methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and clear relevance to contemporary religious and social challenges.
1) Qur'anic and Hadith Studies
Tafsir and ulum al-Qur'an, hadith studies, interpretation methodologies, and contemporary engagement with scriptural texts.
2) Islamic Theology, Philosophy, and Ethics
Aqidah, kalam, Islamic philosophy, ethics, spirituality, and moral reasoning in classical and modern contexts.
3) Islamic Law, Maqasid, and Contemporary Issues
Fiqh, usul al-fiqh, maqasid al-sharia, fatwa studies, legal reform, and applied Islamic legal reasoning on contemporary socio-legal issues.
4) History of Islam and Islamic Civilization in Asia
Islamic history, intellectual networks, institutions, manuscript traditions, and the development of Islamic civilization across Asian regions.
5) Da'wah Communication, Media, and Strategy
Da'wah communication, digital da'wah, strategic messaging, audience studies, sermon and content analysis, and ethical engagement across platforms.
6) Community Engagement, Education, and Social Development
Community-based da'wah, Islamic education in society, youth development, counseling, empowerment programs, and applied research for social wellbeing.
7) Religion, Society, and Contemporary Asian Contexts
Islam and society, religious moderation, identity and citizenship, interreligious relations, social cohesion, and contemporary cultural dynamics in Asia.
8) Comparative and Interdisciplinary Approaches
Comparative religion, interdisciplinary methods, socio-legal inquiry, cultural studies, and integrative frameworks connecting Islamic studies and da'wah.
Types of Manuscripts Considered
The journal considers, among others, the following manuscript types: textual and hermeneutical studies, doctrinal and comparative legal analyses, historical research (including manuscript-based studies), socio-religious and empirical studies, systematic/scoping reviews, conceptual/theoretical papers, and applied da'wah/community engagement studies with credible evaluation. Submissions must demonstrate clear research questions, transparent methods, robust analysis, and ethically responsible conduct.
Asian Journal of Islamic Studies and Da'wah advances scholarly dialogue by publishing ethically grounded, methodologically robust, and internationally relevant research that strengthens Islamic studies and da'wah for constructive engagement in contemporary societies.
