The study was guided by two research questions and two null hypotheses. The study which adopted descriptive survey research design was conducted in Adamawa and Taraba States. The population of the study was 123 respondents comprising 81 MVMW teachers and 42 instructors from all the 21 BEST Centres and Government Science and Technical colleges in Adamawa and Taraba States, Nigeria. There was no sampling as the entire population was used because it was manageable. A structured questionnaire tagged: Proficiency Skills Needs of Motor Vehicle Mechanics Works Teachers Questionnaire (PSNMVMWTQ) was validated by three experts. The Instrument was trial tested in Gombe State and the Cronbach Alpha reliability method was used to test the reliability of the instrument and a 0.84 reliability coefficient was obtained. Data collected for the study was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 27.0. Mean statistics was used to answer the two research questions while a t-test was used to test the null hypotheses at a 0.05 level of significance. The findings of the study revealed among others that 35 technical skills were considered needed by MVMW teachers. Similarly, 25 ICT skills were considered as ‘needed’. Importantly, there were no significant differences between instructors and MVMW teachers regarding the perceived importance of these skills. It is recommended that to address the technical skills gaps identified, particularly in the use of diagnostic tools and performing necessary repairs, it is recommended that the Technical College Management Board should organize workshops and practical training sessions. These initiatives should emphasize hands-on experience with diagnostic equipment, connecting tools appropriately, and interpreting trouble codes.
Yusuf Andy Obadiah, Stephen Z. The study was guided by two specific objectives; two research question and two null hypotheses tested at 0.05 levels of significance. Survey research design was adopted for the study. The study was conducted in five tertiary institutions of Kano State, Nigeria. The population of the study was 32 lecturers, consisting 14 from university, 15 from colleges of education and 3 from Polytechnic. The study adopted census sampling technique because the whole population was used as a sample. Instrument for data collection was a structured questionnaire developed by the researcher title; Strategies for Stimulating Entrepreneurship Among Automobile Technology Education Students Questionnaire (SSEAATESQ). Cronbach alpha was used to determine the reliability coefficient of the instrument which was 0.977. The data collected for this study were analyzed using mean and standard deviation for answering the research questions. ANOVA was used to test the null hypotheses at 0.05 levels of significance. Use of consumable instructional material, serve as strategy to stimulate effective teaching and learning of entrepreneurship education in tertiary institutions of Kano State. An internship can provide an opportunity for students, Collaboration with industry partners can provide valuable opportunities for interns to work on real-world entrepreneurial projects. The federal government in collaboration with state governments should provide Innovation labs equipped with tools, technologies, and resources for students to experiment, prototype, and develop their entrepreneurial ideas by way of encouragement. Collaboration between tertiary institutions and industries should be used as a strategy to strengthen in the area of student’s practical work experience.
Stephen Z. Kumazhege, Usman A. This test is a subjective exploration that uses the CIPP model by assessing each part of the setting, information, interactions, and items to achieve a continuously evolving experience. English teachers, curriculum representatives, and the principal at SMP 2 Palembayan served as the data sources for the study. Observation instruments were used to collect primary data, and interviews and photographs were used to collect secondary data. After that, the observation data was analyzed quantitatively, while the interviews and data analysis were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The results showed that the conditions for implementing learning and learning activities at SMP 2 Palembayan were said to be very effective when learning was carried out.
Arino Susanto, Absharini Kardena, Elpayani Elpayani ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.yasin-alsys.org/index.php/edumalsys/article/view/3259 Wed, 26 Jun 2024 14:09:00 +0000
